Choose the right condition
For site storage, ask whether the offered unit is wind and watertight, and check the roof, door seals, floor, corrosion and previous repairs. Cargo-worthy is a separate requirement if you intend to ship goods. An as-is unit may need repair and should be priced with that condition made clear.
What to ask for before buying
Request the container number and current dated photos of all sides, the interior, floor, roof and door seals. Ask for the actual unit location, a condition description and whether inspection is possible. If the container will move as cargo, confirm transport suitability and relevant documentation for that journey.
Delivery to your site
Share the destination, site access, quantity and preferred delivery date. Ask the supplier to separate container cost, transport and crane or HIAB offloading. Confirm a level placement area and vehicle access before committing.
